I came to darts from rugby and I was chucked into the deep end. Back then I never thought I could talk to anyone in an interview. But if you put me up to speak in front of 10 or 20 people now I still couldn't do that.

I wasn't bothered about winning tournaments at the beginning. I just wanted to win enough money so I could stay on the tour, earn a living for my family. But then when you start to win, you just want more and more.
